There are a lot of problems that can be dealt with over the phone. Questions about medication, recent hospital visits, letters, investigations or results can often be answered by our doctors through a phone call. Equally if you have a minor illness (see health advice) the doctors may be able to give you appropriate advice without seeing you. Obviously if the doctor or nurse feels you need to be seen we will fit you in an appropriate time for your problem.

Telephone triage has become increasingly necessary since the start of swine flu and unfortunately a lot of symptoms mimic this illness. Thus for the safety of others we are having to deal with some problems initially over the phone.
