Palliative Care

We as a practice take our commitment to helping those
in the final stages of life very seriously. We also recognise the
importance of supporting the family and friends of a patient. We work closely with the district nurses in providing gold standard care. To read more about gold standards click here. We also work as a multidisciplinary team with specialist services, including MacMillan nurses, other specialist nurses and palliative care consultants. We hold fortnightly meetings under the co-ordination of Dr Drury to discuss individual care, and we ensure that all patients who are in the final stages of life have a usual GP who can co-ordinate their care needs. |
