Hearing Services

If you are worried about your hearing or the hearing
of your child, book an appointment with a GP or one of the nurses.
The health visitors can also be a good resource if you are worried
about your childs hearing and they can refer for hearing tests if one is
warranted We are able to offer hearing tests in the surgery for those assessed as requiring it. Many people suffer with wax blocking their ears. Remember that wax is normal and helps protect the ear. Do not use cotton buds to clean your ears. If you feel your ears are blocked with wax, please try using light olive oil or a product from the chemist for at least 2 weeks before coming to the surgery. We offer a ear wax removal service through our nurses. This done using a high powered water jet. To make the procedure more successful will always request you soften the wax for 2 weeks using olive oil or another product first. If you have not done this and the wax is deemed too hard it may not be carried out. |
